The forum is hosted by the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Murfreesboro/Rutherford County, the Middle Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women (MTLAW) and the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority in conjunction with the City of Murfreesboro.

The LWV, the MTLAW and the Sorority are all nonpartisan organizations that study and take positions on issues and do not support, endorse or oppose any candidate, party or political appointee.

The public is invited to attend in person or watch live or streamed on Murfreesboro City TV on Comcast Xfinity Channels 3 and 1094, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, You Tube, Facebook, mobile devices and the City website: www.murfreesborotn.gov. 

The public should be seated 10 minutes prior to the start time. There will be no admittance once the forum is underway.

To ensure an impartial and welcoming environment for all candidates, no campaign materials (t-shirts, buttons, signs, etc.) are allowed. 

A question pool was developed by the League of Women Voters and all candidates will be asked to answer the same questions. There will be no audience participation during the forum. The audience will hear directly from the candidates their positions on various policy issues facing our community.
