Vote for our League in the 2023 Light Up Local Firefly Awards

We’re excited that the League of Women Voters of Murfreesboro / Rutherford County is nominated in the “Best Nonprofit” category for a local Firefly Award! Sponsored by Locally Owned Murfreesboro and the Smyrna Independent Merchants Association, the Firefly Awards are an annual recognition of local businesses, organizations, and events.

These awards, now in their 6th year, are a people’s choice awards celebration. This year’s event will be Tuesday, April 25. Other categories include Best Event, Best New Business, Best Service, and more.

Of the non-profit category, the awards website says: This award is presented to a local non-profit organization that strives to strengthen our community. Regardless of who the nonprofit serves, they enrich our community by giving back and making the area better through service, kindness and charitable acts throughout our county.
