We’ll be learning about these topics and more:

  • the history and background of NAMI and how it works in our community

  • data that illustrates both the resources and the needs at the state and local levels

  • different mental heal services and their purpose (including talk therapy, group therapy, medication management, and more)

  • local services available and services that are needed or should be expanded

  • how the new 988 suicide hotline prevention line works in our community

  • the MPD’s Homeless Outreach Support Team (H.O.S.T)

This program is free and open to the public. Our study of local mental health issues will continue with an April 18 program focused on mental health issues in our schools.
